You can 'up' 1 villager early fairly easily if needed. You can also build gold mines on both sides of the patch to decrease travel time (the same idea with lumber), but you can do that anyway it's just a lot easier with Japanese.Īs you save at least 150 wood from mill/lumber/mine you don't need a villager collecting that early in the game, so the 3 vils on wood instead of 4 is a good idea. Even if it is only 1 stop that is 200 food gathered fairly quickly which helps a lot early in game. This is a good tip if your on a water map (or if there is a lake), if you have the option and berries are near water build the mill on the water side of the berries and gather the shore fish before starting on the berries. Yes this is odd how villagers gather fast but boats dont. the fishing spots are close together, shore fishing is 1 of the fastet food income u can get, but with fishing boats it's strangely VERY slow.
On closed maps it's VERY cost efficient to shore fish lakes with villagers IF!!!. you must have the vills standing at zero range and chop wood, else it's a good waste of wood. Seemingly, no other enemies seem to get short end of the stick more often than the Shy Guy, the essential whipping boys of the Mushroom Kingdom. Still, these often bumbling masked fools have been a constant obstacle for our heroes, despite not really pledging their allegiances to anyone, even Bowser. Unlike most of the other races such as the Goombas and Koopas, the background and history of the Shy Guy is pretty much left in the air, subject to a lot of speculation.
